Svicom Innovates HR Processes in Retail Real Estate

Innovation, digitalization, and a full-service approach are reshaping HR processes dedicated to the Real Estate sector. Svicom SpA Società Benefit, a leading proptech company specializing in advisory services for the management and enhancement of real estate assets, has developed for WaltherPark — an ambitious urban regeneration project underway in Bolzano integrating Retail, Office, Living, and Hospitality — an integrated digital platform for the centralized management of recruiting, onboarding, and training activities for the professionals working within the mall, part of the new urban district.

This is Italy’s first smart recruiting and professional training system specifically designed for a Retail asset, capable of efficiently and automatically customizing the entire personnel management lifecycle. The innovative solution supports companies, occupiers, and stakeholders involved in the project’s development and management, within the Alto Adige region — known for one of the country’s lowest unemployment rates and a highly virtuous labor market.

Developed from a thorough analysis of national and international best practices, the platform — tailored specifically for WaltherPark — is the result of close collaboration between Svicom, the client, and a group of highly specialized partners: Nomesis, the technical partner responsible for candidate selection, operational management, and tenant support; Indeed, the world’s leading job search portal; and Alliance Software, which provides the digital and technological infrastructure via the Allibo® platform.

Fully digitalized and equipped with an advanced Applicant Tracking System (Allibo® Recruit), the platform optimizes every stage of the recruiting and onboarding process, leveraging multiple touchpoints — sponsored job ads, mall website, newsletters, social media, job days, and additional channels — to maximize visibility of job opportunities and broaden the pool of qualified candidates.

The centralized management system consolidates all applications into a single integrated platform, automating preliminary screening and significantly reducing selection times, resulting in marked improvements in efficiency and quality during onboarding.

A distinctive feature of the platform is its modularity, enabling continuous evolution based on the specific needs of the asset. For WaltherPark, the system has been enhanced with dedicated post-hiring professional training programs designed to foster engagement, professional growth, and retention of retail personnel.

To further complement and strengthen the project, Svicom has integrated a structured community management service aimed at consolidating the network among occupiers, local stakeholders, and project partners. This strategic lever promotes engagement, facilitates the sharing of joint initiatives, and encourages collaborative management of the WaltherPark ecosystem.

Iolanda Nicastro, Head of Property & Asset Services at Svicom, states:

“With this digital platform, Svicom confirms its position as an innovation driver and provider of high-tech solutions for assets under management, capable of proactively meeting the needs of clients and the territories we serve. Thanks to the integrated approach that characterizes our full-service model, the property management, marketing, and asset management teams worked in close synergy with all partners involved, creating a pioneering project that further enriches our advanced and multidisciplinary consulting offer across the various asset classes we manage.”

Thibault Chavanat, Chairman of WaltherPark S.p.A., adds:

“This new system perfectly integrates into the WaltherPark urban regeneration project in Bolzano, which includes over 80 new stores, the Mercato Centrale Bolzano – Bozen, restaurants, offices, the Falkensteiner Hotel Bozen WaltherPark, as well as a premium Living component with high-end apartments. WaltherPark offers a unique and vibrant working environment, with more than 1,400 people active daily across diverse sectors. With this innovative platform, we have created an effective tool to support all project partners in the talent acquisition process, in a highly competitive labor market. The volume and quality of applications received so far demonstrate both the attractiveness of WaltherPark and the relevance of this platform.”

The platform — accessible via the Careers section of the new website www.waltherpark.com — is already active in support of all occupiers involved in the WaltherPark project who wish to manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of qualified personnel through a new automated and integrated approach.
